Happy Feet

Me and my youngest daughter went to the cinema to see Happy Feet. It is a movie about a little pinguin with tapping skills. He can dance, he can drum, he can swing and jam on ice. But he can't sing. He is born with happy feet and the thing he loves the most saves his life eventually. Adorable !

We had a great time watching this. And it wasn't something I'd choose to watch but hear my little girl - who isn't that little anymore by the way - laugh and clap her hands was one of the best cinema experiences ever. Of course we also enjoyed Chronicles of Narnia. We went to the cinema to watch that one at least 3 times if not more. We like to crawl into the seats with popcorn and coke and chocolate chips and it's the whole thing that makes it so fantastic.

I Love being a mum. And lucky me, my kids love me back so I feel blessed, grateful, HAPPY ! I went to see James Bond with my son and oldest daughter. Nobody understood what it was about and nobody cared but it was a nice James Bond, not a very cool one but very human and that was refreshingly new about this James.

Last Friday I went to the cinema for the third time and I watched Deja Vu with the oldest daughter. She always likes to join me. Shopping, biking, reading, and movies. A lot of the time it isn't even because of the movie we pick. It is fun to drive there. It is a good 20 minutes and we chat, talk, laugh, listen to music. Deja Vu was a bit rough and we were both filled with adrenaline when we stumbled out of the cinema laughing and chewing down the last popcorn crumbles. Then we drove home and we repeated the ritual of chats and laughs and jokes.

The reason I love movies is not only because of the story projected on a screen in front of you. It is everything. I also like going alone every now and then. I started doing that at age 17. But now I have my 3 kids, I prefer sharing the fun and theatre. And I am happy they love movies too. Watching them in our own home is fun too. I bought the oldest a new dvd and we are all a hugh fan of Guzman. His jokes are hilarious and we watched the dvd 2 times this evening.

And now...after watching the new dvd 2 times it is 2 am in the morning. I am going to enjoy the last day of their vacation and maybe watch the new dvd a third time.
