Reiki & Kids

Attention PLEASE :

Reiki is NOT lethal. It's NOT deadly, it is NOT a weapon. It's NOT evil. It is NOT poisonous. It is not crazy and it can't make you crazy ! The only person who can make YOU crazy is YOU - or others when you let them.

My advise is to be grounded and stay grounded and to never let your mind or the mind-tricks of others fool you.

So...what is Reiki...?
Reiki, as a healing system, and as a Way of Life was (re)discovered and developed by Mikao Usui to bring the world and humanity closer to enlightment. Needless to say it is NOT and never was - meant to be a tool to bring the world closer to an apocalypse. (dah) It *IS* a tool to help you progress in life. To make it more peaceful, more patient, more blissful, more satisfying, more balanced, more joyful, more compassionate, more loving, more enriched.

This tool we call Reiki, is a precious Gift Usui received directly from the Source, the Universe, the Divine, and he found a way to help the people he lived and worked with, by passing on the methods he used that lead to the activation of this great Gift. Reiki was given to Usui and he was able to receive this Gift he called Reiki. Reiki means : Universal Life Force and is also Usui's Way of Life.

Reiki is a name (a symbol) that represents a collection of ''tools'' such as meditation, Usui's gainen, the Reiju, and later Teate - a hands-on healing method taught in Usui's Do introduced by Eguchi. Usui's way of life is an example for all who wanto be relieved of stress, disease, uncomfortable experiences. It is not only for those in pain or in stress or for those that lack ''Life-Energy''. It is not only within reach for the rich or for a select group of noted people. It's (made) available for all, for all who are willing and able to open up to the world inside and outside themselves. You do NOT have to wait till you you end up on the couch with a burn-out. You don't have to wait till you feel so depressed it is hard to feel anything at all anymore. You don't have to wait till there are only 2 choices left : Reiki or suicide. (black joke) You dont have to wait till you are sick or old. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT untill you are 18 or 21 years old.

It is available and accessable for all who seek enlightment. Reiki is for everyone who wanto give their life more meaning. It is there for everyone who is interested. Reiki is for EVERYBODY. No exceptions left. Reiki does NOT discriminate. WE do. Reiki doesn't judge people to be ''worthy'' enough or to be ''UN-worthy''. We do. Because we can. Simply because we can, ''we'' (adults) may think we can exclude certain people from joining this spiritual Path. In this case I am talking about children.

Reiki is meant to bring peace, balance, healing and love in your life for You and by living and being Reiki you are able to share this energy with your loved ones and the ones that cross your Path. Because Reiki is a Way of Life, there is no need to practice hands-on healing. But since everybody knows that hands-on healings can be such a loving act to share with yourself and others, it is of course available and easy to use when there is a need for it.

Reiki is here to bring Balance, Healing, Peace of Mind, Peace in general, Love and Light. The purpose of Reiki is to make your own life more comfortable and succesful, rich and... to make this world a better place. There is no reason to think children are not capable of handling this. Reiki isn't lethal or deadly. Reiki is not dangerous. When a Healer or Healee is blocked by Ego - chances are that the spiritual developement comes with some uncomfortable side effects.

A healthy mind and spirit will see a crises or just a little discomfort as a challenge, a chance to grow and to become a better (wo)man. When faced with problems a flexible mind will adapt new ideas and thoughts easily and without effort. People with a balanced attitude are able to bend, they are able to keep both feet on the ground not matter what or at least they are able to get back on that horse as quickly as possible. Where ego goes, Reiki flows.

Usui's Gainen :
Reiki can be helpful in overcoming fears, blocks, disease and discomfort. Allow yourself to open up and prepare to experience UN-conditional Love and let Reiki flow without effort, without ''doing'' something, without desire, Ego and the fear that ''something'' might go ''wrong''. When scared that something might go ''wrong'' you are not following the first ''rule'' that Usui taught us : Just for today, do not worry.
When you are too stubborn to bend when the Univese puts up a storm and powerful Wind, not being able to bend activates more fear, anger and even hate. That's when you know you are not listening to Usui's second ''rule'' : Just for today do not anger. When you feel anger and still refuse to listen, you might stumble onto some wicked tricks the Universe has in mind.
When you become aware of manifestations like that - often painful and unpleasant, you know you are NOT listening to the Universe and by then it is time to start focussing on the third ''rule'' : Honour your Teachers and Elders.
Reiki is your teacher and when you pay attention you will receive a lot of information that can be of great use when you want to avoid, prevent or to solve issues and problems in your life. But it is never too late because the forth ''rule'' sais : Work Hard and be Honoust.
This is a rule to bring you back to the start, this is an oppertunity - a doorway - to start all over again and to give yourself a break, give yourself a second chance. Forgive yourself and start over. Look inside and you when you listen carefully you will be able to find your way back, to get back on that horse and continue refreshed, renewed and a better (wo)man with more experience. When that happens, it's time for the fifth ''rule'' : Be Greatful and Thankful - for all that is and for all that lives.
Everybody makes mistakes, but there is no need to worry about that. You can make up for the mistakes you made, if you are willing to take a closer look at who you are, at what drives you and why you did the things you did. If you don't like it, change. Bend. Be flexible. Give yourself the chance to grow, to change your mind, to experience all the things that lead to wisdom. Reiki... Smile.

Why are children left out ?
Nobody is perfect. I never expect myself to be perfect and I don't expect others to be perfect no matter what age. It is human to make a mess every now and then. Everybody makes mistakes and the ones with guts and the power to overcome Ego can clean up when they are done fooling around and they will make up their mistakes and apologize when necessary. Reiki can help both adults and children to serve their Soul, to become more balanced and become happy people.

There will always be adults and kids - that like to ''use'' Reiki and other modalities - to boost their own ego. But..... Reiki cannot be ''used''. It won't let you ''use'' it, and it simply cannot be abused. Ego can, and since we humans all have an ego - young and old -, there is always a chance that there are Masters with intentions that serve only their own interest and not that of others. Sometimes their actions are so sneeky, so carefully planned, so dark, so hidden in a bunch of good deeds and new age drama it is hard to notice they are fooling themselves and others to have things their way. Reiki cannot be stopped. Reiki cannot be manipulated. But still...a human ego can always trie to unfortunately. Nothing is what is seems.

When you are able to listen to the Universe and to what Reiki teaches, you will stumble onto lessons and information that is of great use for your Soul's purpose. Answering this call will bring happiness, joy, bliss and your life will be filled with blessings. If not, it might be a wise thing to look inside and listen carefully to the soft whispers of the Universe.

It's up to a Master/Teacher to decide wether to accept a client/student or not. It is my choice NOT to discriminate on gender, age, culture or religion. I judge people on being motivated or not. When I see willpower, motivation, possibilities in a student asking for healings or attunements I will accept him or her most of the time. The choices I make don't involve judgement based on sex, age, religion and other. They will be based on : Can I offer you something that makes working together a pleasant and useful experience, for me and especially for the ones I work with.

Age is not an issue. Character is.
